His only Class 2 win came at Haydock in September 2024, and it was the kind of performance that stuck with his trainer David Menuisier. He settles easily during races and accelerates late, which works beautifully when the track is testing. Menuisier watched him improve markedly when moisture was in the ground, picking up the bridle in the final stages and running down better horses. That win has real meaning too—it came at a proper level, in a race the yard was confident about, and it came because the conditions suited his nature.

William Buick has ridden Master Builder five times, winning once (20 percent). Over 16 races, Master Builder has won three and placed seven times, averaging roughly one win every five races. At the top level—Class 2 racing—he has managed just one win from ten attempts (10 percent), which shows that while he can win at that standard, he is not a consistent operator there. The Pulborough yard has sent out 20 winners this season, and Master Builder remains very much an active horse. His trainer is thinking about bigger targets if ground conditions and weights align, but for now he is being campaigned carefully, entered in handicaps and waiting for the soft ground that seems to unlock something special.
