TrackLab Insight
The market favourite at 2.9 has genuine momentum with three straight top-3 finishes including a win at Catterick just 40 days ago, and she boasts an excellent 33% win rate on fast ground. However, today's normal going doesn't suit her profile as well, and the narrow 0.8L defeat last time out shows she's beatable in this modest field.

TrackLab Insight
The favourite comes here on the back of two straight seconds and owns the best record at this trip in the field (1 win from 8 attempts), though his 9% career win rate shows he's a grinder rather than a destroyer. The big worry is his blank at Southwell across 6 attempts — if he can't find the winner's circle here, the draw in stall 1 gives him minimal advantage in a race where low draws win just 10% of the time.

TrackLab Insight
The three-year-old filly has the best win rate of any horse in the field at 17% (1 from 6 races) and broke through just three weeks ago at Wolverhampton, which proves she belongs at this level. She's also the best suited to today's ground and distance combination, though raw experience tells against her in a race full of older heads.

TrackLab Insight
This is the only course winner in the field, with a stunning 27% win rate at Southwell (6 wins from 22 attempts), and he's won over this exact course and distance before. At 8-years-old with 53 races under his belt, he's by far the most experienced horse here — the mid draw in stall 4 sits right in his sweet spot for track bias.

TrackLab Insight
The youngest winner in the field (1 win from 14 races), this five-year-old has genuine form in the last six outings with two wins/places breaking up some moderate efforts, suggesting he's still improving. At 8.5 odds and 4lbs below the field average in the ratings, he could be a value play if the pace suits him — just watch that this is his first ride with jockey Gina Mangan.

Trainer Quotes
Nov 2025
"He came to us having been with Marcus Tregoning. He's had a few issues, which is why he didn't run for a year. We'd had him only for a month or two before he ran on the all-weather in September - he was still at Marcus's before that. I just thought “Let's go to Newcastle, it's a consistent surface, we'll have a gallop, and then we'll get him schooled.” And he ran so well, coming second, so I thought “Right, I'll win one of these.” However, next time he finished ninth of nine. We don't really know whether we'd overworked him, ran him too soon or made too much use of him and he didn't stay - we couldn't find a problem. Oisin Orr wasn't quite happy with him when he pulled him up but we haven't had a problem with him in any way. We'll probably start him off in a 2m novice hurdle and see, but if he doesn't like jumping he can go back to the Flat. 19-11-25"

TrackLab Insight
This three-year-old gelding is dangerously lightly raced with just 3 career outings and zero wins, coming off a distant 6th-place finish at Kempton. He carries the lightest weight in the field, but his recent form (6-11-7) and zero success rate suggest he's genuinely outclassed here — the 13.0 odds probably understate how much of a lottery ticket he represents.

TrackLab Insight
This horse hasn't raced in 296 days and is returning from the longest break in the field, which is a significant red flag for any punter. With just 1 win from 25 career races and a complete record of failure on both left-handed and right-handed galloping tracks, the 18.5 odds look generous for a reason — he's a genuine outsider.

How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
