Against Class 1 opposition, where Savvy Victory has spent the bulk of its career, the record reads just 1 win from 19 races, which is winning 1 in every 19 at that level. That single win came at Sandown in July 2023, almost two years ago now. Since then, it is a story of placed efforts and near-misses rather than victories — six races without a win, with recent finishes of 5th, 8th, 6th, 10th, 5th, and 4th. Solid enough to suggest the horse belongs in good company, not quite good enough to beat it.

The last win came at Newcastle in December 2024, a Class 2 on the all-weather track, which was perhaps a small sign that dropping slightly below the very top level suits Savvy Victory better. That was 16 months ago, and the horse has not raced since — a break of roughly four months.
