Eminency

Stuart Williams trains Eminency out of Newmarket, and the yard has been in strong form this season, sending out 67 winners. Williams has spoken warmly of this horse's character — describing him as a laid-back type who has shown gradual improvement — and noted he needs reasonable ground to show his best, preferring fast or normal conditions rather than anything wet and heavy. He's versatile over six or seven furlongs, which gives the team options when choosing where to run him.

The most interesting chapter in Eminency's record is what happens at Windsor. In five races there, he has won twice — a 40% win rate, or 2 in every 5, which is remarkable. For context, most horses never win at a particular track twice in their entire career, let alone from only five visits.
