It suggests the distance matters.

What makes Arch Legend genuinely interesting right now is that he is essentially starting a new chapter. He arrived at Mrs R Carr's yard in Stillington, North Yorkshire, in February, having previously been trained by Charlie Johnston. Carr, whose yard has sent out 56 winners this season alone, described him as a tall, staying type who has already filled out physically and should improve further. She was candid in admitting she is still learning about him — unsure what ground will suit him best, and yet to put him through any serious fast work ahead of his first run for the yard. That honesty is refreshing, and it means there is genuine curiosity attached to his next appearance. His most frequent jockey, James Sullivan, has yet to get him into the winner's enclosure across five rides together, but with a new trainer, a new environment, and some physical maturing still to come, the story is not finished yet.
