It is a small but telling pattern worth watching as the yard develops.

The one partnership that stands out, for the wrong reasons, is with Powerful Paddy. Four races together and not a single win makes it the kind of combination that keeps a trainer up at night. Whether the horse simply has not found the right race or the right conditions remains to be seen, but four attempts without reward is a run that needs turning around.

At this stage of his career, McIntyre looks like a trainer still finding his feet — three winners from 46 runners this season tells you resources are limited and competition is fierce. The interesting question is whether those normal-ground figures are the first green shoot of something more consistent. Small yards can improve sharply once a couple of good horses come along. The foundation is there; the results just need to follow.
