Trainer Quotes
Jun 2024
"She must be one of the fastest Cannock Chases there is around. She got her hat-trick up at Ripon last week and it's never easy to win three on the bounce. The ground was plenty tight enough there and it was just because she was in sugood form with herself that we got away with it. When Graham Lee won on her at Thirsk a couple of years ago, we thought she was going to be an 80-plus horse, but last year she underperformed all season. She was never right and we gave her a wind op over the winter. The way she was galloping, I thought she'd win first time up but she didn't. We then upped her to 7f and she ran a little bit better, but as soon as we put a bit of headgear on she was a different mare. She didn't cost a lot of money and she's paid for herself several times over. She's straightforward and easy to train, and there's more to come as on her old marks there's still a bit of wiggle room. She loves proper softground. 28-06-24"

How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
