Topwarrior

The recent form is patchy and uninspiring. In the last six races, Topwarrior has managed only one second place, with the rest scattered across mid-field finishes and one blank. This is a horse still racing and still in work, having raced just a day ago, but clearly not performing at the level it did last autumn. When ridden by Rossa Ryan, however, the picture brightens slightly: the pair have won 2 of 5 races together, a 40% win rate that is substantially better than the overall record and suggests they work well as a team. Ralph Beckett's yard at Kimpton has been prolific this season with 107 winners, but Topwarrior is not among the yard's success stories.

What stands out is Topwarrior's complete inability to win in Class 4 races — the type it contests most often. Zero wins from 5 attempts at that level means the horse either lacks the class needed to win regularly at competitive tracks, or it is missing something — form, luck, or the right conditions. Without significant improvement soon, Topwarrior risks becoming a horse that simply goes through the motions. It won before, so it has ability. But right now, it looks like a fading prospect.
