The recent sequence tells its own story. In the last six races, the form reads 1, a non-runner, 4, 3, 1, 2 — meaning The Lost King has placed in five of the five races it has actually completed in that stretch. That consistency is rare. Two wins in that run include a Class 2 at Kempton in January and another Class 2 at Wolverhampton in March, both on all-weather surfaces, which suggests the horse handles artificial tracks well. Then, just this week, came a win at York — a proper, prestigious track that attracts serious horses. That is three wins in 2026 alone for a four-year-old still very much in the middle of its development.
