When the track turns wet and muddy, he genuinely comes alive: he has won 2 of his 6 races in those conditions, a 33 per cent win rate that stands out sharply against his ordinary 14 per cent average. That is the kind of trait that matters to people who follow him — you mark those muddy days in the calendar and pay attention. His breakthrough came late, with a first win at Windsor on 24 April 2023, followed by a Class 2 victory at Hamilton Park that August, proof that at the age of nine he was still capable of stepping up against stronger fields.
