What makes Post Rider interesting, though, is its consistency at Class 5 level — the lower tiers of British racing. In those races, it has won 3 of 10, a 30 percent win rate that stands out. It also performs noticeably better at distances between seven furlongs and a mile, which narrows the sweet spot where Post Rider wins races. The horse's last victory came at Newmarket on 31 October 2025, nearly ten months ago. Since then it has struggled: the past six runs read as fifth, third, sixth, eighth, fifth, and third. Third-place finishes suggest the engine is still turning over and the horse remains competitive, but the wins have dried up completely.

Oliver Cole trains Post Rider at Whatcombe in Oxfordshire. The yard has been in decent form this season with eight winners to its name, so the infrastructure is solid. For Post Rider to get back to the winner's circle, it will need the right race: normal ground, Class 5 level, around a mile, and preferably at a track where it has already run well. The horse is currently active and raced just yesterday, so the yard clearly believe there is still value to squeeze out. Whether Post Rider can find another win before stepping back is the question that hangs over it now.
