The one number that raises an eyebrow is the partnership with jockey William Carson, who has ridden 13 times for the yard without a single win. Thirteen rides is a fair sample — not enormous, but not nothing — and at some point both parties will want to see something come from it. Whether that changes or continues is one of the quiet storylines to follow as this yard matures. Two years in, with a clear preference for dry ground and a track they already seem to own, the Flints are still very much a yard in the process of finding themselves. The foundations, though, look interesting.
