Lusaka has a genuine affinity for Bath, winning 2 of just 4 races there — that's a 50% win rate at a single track, which is the kind of number that makes trainers plan their whole season around a course. On fast, dry ground the record is similarly compelling: 2 wins from 5 races, again at 40%. Both patterns point to a horse that needs specific conditions to show its best, and when those conditions align, it delivers. The highlight came on 16 September 2023, when Lusaka won a Class 2 race at Bath — one of the better races in Britain — which remains the peak of its career and a mark that says this horse genuinely belongs at a decent level.

When jockey Taylor Fisher takes the ride, the results are striking: 4 wins from just 6 races together, a win rate of 67%. That is an extraordinary partnership by any measure, and suggests there is a real understanding between horse and rider that the the yard at John and Rhys Flint's yard in Bridgend — a yard that has sent out 8 winners already this season — will want to exploit whenever possible.
