The partnership between Spirit Catcher and jockey Joe Fanning has been similarly productive. At higher levels of competition, however, the picture darkens considerably. In twelve Class 2 races, Spirit Catcher has yet to break through, which has kept it operating at a more modest tier. For a horse now in its eighth year of racing, Spirit Catcher has carved out a comfortable niche: reliable, track-smart, and capable of giving its the yard a winning day when conditions and company align.
