Scintillante

Trained by Alastair Ralph out of Bridgnorth in Shropshire, Scintillante operates in a stable that has been in decent form — 25 winners already this season is a healthy total and suggests the horses are coming to the track in good order. Her most regular partner in the saddle is Jonathan Burke, and their record together is genuinely encouraging: 2 wins from 11 races, meaning Burke wins roughly 1 in every 5 or 6 times he rides her. That's a notably better return than her overall average, which suggests the two have developed a real understanding.

Her best racing tends to come at a distance of around a mile and three to four furlongs — she has won 1 from 4 races at that trip, a 25% win rate that stands well above her career average and points clearly to where her the yard should be targeting her. She broke her career duck at Chester in July 2023 and most recently won at Worcester in July 2025, so there is something of a pattern there — she seems to find her best form as summer arrives.

The less encouraging news is that the Worcester win, just over a year ago, remains her last.
