The most interesting thing about him is his love of wet ground. On soft or muddy surfaces, he wins at a rate of 4 from 11 races (36%)—nearly double his overall win rate. This is the kind of concrete pattern that trainers and jockeys watch for, and it should guide anyone watching his entries during the winter and spring when British tracks get heavy. Last year was clearly his peak: he won his first three races in a run that pushed his rating up sharply and made racing tougher, as happens with horses who break through. Yet Hills notes he's a year older now and has room to improve—a sensible reading, since horses at this level often do develop in their early to mid-thirties.

His most recent win came at Kempton Park three weeks ago, and his last six runs show the pattern of a horse competing honestly without dominating: third place, eighth, first, first, eighth, third. It's the profile of a Class 4 regular (he has won 3 of 15 races at that level), not a star in the making. But that Class 2 victory at Ascot in May 2023 proves he can mix it with better horses on his day, and at six years old, with good form and the right ground beneath his hooves, he remains capable of winning races. He was still racing just a day ago, so there is clearly life in him yet.
