What makes Paradias genuinely interesting is his narrow specialisation and what the yard has learned about him. He is a course specialist at Lingfield, where he has won twice from three attempts—an exceptional win rate. He also prefers longer distances between a mile and six furlongs and two miles, winning 2 of his 7 races at that trip (29%), and he clearly thrives on normal ground rather than wet or muddy conditions. Trainer Alan King's observation that Paradias "wasn't over raced" and is "learning to relax better" points to a horse improving with maturity and better placed in his races. The yard, based at Wroughton in Wiltshire, has sent out 57 winners this season, so it is a stable firing on all cylinders.

Recent form tells an encouraging story. In his last six runs, Paradias has finished outside the top three only once—an eleventh-place finish—and has otherwise picked up placings, most recently finishing third and fifth.
