All three of his wins have come at Wolverhampton, the all-weather track in the West Midlands, and that makes him one of those horses who simply clicks with a particular venue. He has run there 29 times, and if you strip out everywhere else, his record sharpens noticeably. His first win came there in February 2023, and his most recent in July 2024 — so the track has been his home turf across different seasons and different conditions. It has now been about 24 months since that last win, and his recent form reads 4-3-10-5-4-7, which shows he is not far off a podium finish but has not been able to close the deal. His best work comes over short distances, between five and six-and-a-half furlongs, where all three wins have arrived in 52 attempts at those trips — winning 1 in every 17 at his best distance and ground combination.

He is trained by Kevin and Lauren Frost at Averham Park in Nottinghamshire, a yard that has sent out three winners this season. The Frosts bought him as a younger horse for 50,000 guineas at the Craven breeze-up sales — a significant bargain given he had sold as a yearling for a quarter of a million. Kevin Frost felt they had simply got lucky with the timing, catching a quiet moment in the ring. That kind of early promise has not fully translated into a high-profile career — he competes almost exclusively at Class 6, the entry level of British racing — but he has proven durable and consistent on normal ground, where all his wins have come. Regular jockey Alfie Gee has yet to win on him in nine attempts together, so there is unfinished business there too. A horse who keeps showing up, keeps finishing close, and knows exactly one track better than anywhere else.
