When rain has fallen at Musselburgh, Kyber Crystal would be one of the first names to catch your eye on a racecard.

The horse is trained by Rebecca Menzies at her yard near Durham, and the operation is in good form this season with 36 winners already sent out. The regular partnership with jockey Kaiya Fraser has produced 2 wins from 13 races together — about 1 in every 6.5 — which is a meaningful improvement on the overall career average. Kyber Crystal raced just yesterday, so clearly the yard have no interest in letting the horse rest on its laurels. The next run on wet ground at Musselburgh might be worth paying attention to.
