Kohana Girl

Trained by J. R. Jenkins at Royston in Hertfordshire, Kohana Girl typically races at Class 6 level, where it has managed eight attempts without a win. The yard itself is having a solid season with six winners already, so the infrastructure for success is in place. Still, the horse's lack of a breakthrough at this level after so many tries suggests it may have simply found its ceiling in competitive racing. That said, consistency — finishing in the first few every so often — is worth something; many horses never show up on the scoreboard at all. Kohana Girl is at least in the conversation most times it runs, and at five years old with clear racing experience under its belt, it remains active and regularly sent out to compete.
