Indemnity fits the profile of the kind of reliable, professional performer that a well-organised yard like Lavelle's tends to produce. When Harry Cobden is in the saddle, the partnership looks particularly effective: two wins from just five rides together is a 40% win rate, which is genuinely exceptional. If Cobden is booked, that is worth noticing.

The horse clearly has preferences worth understanding. On normal ground conditions it has won 4 of 7 races — a remarkable 57% win rate, which means it has essentially been a coin-flip to win every time conditions have suited. Indemnity hasn't raced for 92 days, returning from roughly a three-month break since that last win at Market Rasen in October. It is worth noting that Lavelle's yard has been firing in winners all season, so there is every reason to think this horse will come back ready. Its career began to take shape at Nottingham in June 2024, and in the 16 months since, it has steadily turned itself from a promising debutant into a horse with a genuine winning habit. Back on normal ground over a long trip, this is one to watch.
