Henery Hawk

The recent form tells an encouraging story. Reading from left to right — a missed run, then a win, two thirds, a tenth, another third, and a fifth — that sequence shows a horse who got his head back in front three months ago and has kept placing since. He raced just yesterday, which means he's fit, active, and clearly being kept busy by trainer Linda Perratt's yard in East Kilbride. Perratt has sent out 19 winners already this season, so this is an operation that knows how to get a horse to the track in good shape.

He competes mostly at Class 6, the entry level of British racing, and has won 5 races at that level. That tells you where he belongs — not a big-occasion horse, but a genuine performer within his own world, still winning races at seven, still in training, still turning up. Horses like Henery Hawk are the backbone of the sport.
