She got her first win at Southwell in October 2024, and by August 2025 she had added another at Redcar, where jockey Oisin Orr was given simple instructions: roll forward, find a rhythm, and let her travel. It worked. Orr was effusive afterwards, noting that she still hasn't had many races and is genuinely still learning — which is an exciting thing to be able to say about a horse already winning at this level. Bethell himself called her "a lovely little filly with a great attitude to life," and in racing, attitude counts for a lot.

One pattern worth watching is her record on fast, dry ground: two wins from three races on those conditions, a win rate of 67%. That's striking — winning two in every three races on the surface she prefers suggests that when conditions suit, she becomes a much harder horse to beat. Her record in the top two tiers of British racing tells a different story, with no wins from three attempts at that level, but that's less a sign of weakness and more a question of timing and opportunity. Bethell has already talked about a five-furlong fillies' race at York's prestigious Ebor meeting as a potential target, and that ambition feels well-founded.

She hasn't raced since that Redcar win in August 2025 — around ten months ago — but she ran just yesterday, suggesting she is right in the middle of an active campaign. Her recent form shows a couple of unplaced runs mixed in with placings, which hints that she may be finding life a touch tougher as the handicapper takes notice and the competition stiffens. But Bethell's stable is in fine form, Fluorescence clearly loves fast ground, and a horse that finishes in the frame in five of every eight races she runs is rarely far away from winning. The next win feels close.
