The horse's signature win came in a top-level race at Ascot on 3 October 2025, a genuine standout achievement that justified the faith of trainer Nicky Henderson's yard at Upper Lambourn, which has been in terrific form this season with 90 winners already. Yet Fantasy World hasn't found the winner's circle since that Ascot success eleven months ago. His recent form has been patchy: a seventh place a day ago, but before that a third, a fourth, a win, and a third again. It is the sort of form that suggests he still has something to offer but struggles to deliver it consistently.

The real story, though, emerges when you look at his course and ground preferences. Fantasy World absolutely thrives over 1m3f to 1m4f—the middle distance—winning 2 of 3 races at that trip, a 67 per cent win rate that is genuinely impressive. He also has a clear preference for slightly soft or wet ground, where he has won 2 of 5 races (40 per cent) compared to his overall record. This is the sort of specificity that separates a lucky horse from one that suits a particular set of conditions. If Henderson can find the right race on ground with some give in it and at her favoured distance, Fantasy World remains capable of winning. He has already proved he can mix it at the highest level. The question now is whether he can do it again.
