Dynamic Force

The most recent win came at Killarney in July 2024, now two years ago, and since then Dynamic Force has gone six races without adding to that tally. The recent form figures — a second, a fifth, a fourth, a seventh, another fourth, and one run where it didn't finish — paint a picture of a horse in the mix but not quite landing the blow. That said, it raced just yesterday, so there's no question of it being on the sidelines.

Where things get genuinely interesting is over a mile and one or two furlongs. At that trip, Dynamic Force has won 1 from 4 races — 25% — which is a dramatically better return than the overall career numbers suggest. For a horse that converts just 1 in 12 races overall, winning 1 in 4 at a specific distance is a real signal. When the conditions suit, that trip clearly brings out something more from this horse.

The yard has been in decent form this season, sending out 13 winners, so there's a working operation behind Dynamic Force rather than a one-horse backyard set-up. James Ryan has been the regular partner, taking the ride in 11 races together without a win between them, which is a streak worth noticing — though it's hard to know whether that reflects the horse's own ceiling at this stage of its career or simply how competitive the races have been. At Class 4 level, which is mid-tier racing rather than the top end of the sport, Dynamic Force has won 1 from 6 attempts, or roughly 1 in every 6 — respectable rather than dominant.

A horse that won its first race at Nottingham in June 2022 and is still active and placing at 7 years old is doing something right. The big win may not be coming, but Dynamic Force clearly still wants to race.
