Trained by Charlie Wallis out of Ardleigh in Essex, Due Date has done most of its winning at Class 6, the entry-level tier of British racing. It means that when Due Date turns up in the right race, it is a real contender, not just making up the numbers. The most striking detail in Due Date's profile is how it handles wet, muddy ground. In normal or fast conditions, plenty of horses beat it. But on slow, heavy ground it has won 2 from 7 — nearly 1 in every 3 races — which is a meaningful edge. That might sound modest, but in a sport where small advantages matter enormously, knowing a horse picks up in the mud can be the difference between a winning bet and a losing one.

That victory came at Chelmsford on 30 October 2025 — roughly five months ago — and the horse raced again just yesterday, so it is very much in active service.
