He is not a horse chasing the big prizes, but within his own world he has been genuinely competitive. His first win came at Ayr back in April 2022, and his most recent was at Ripon in July 2025, meaning there is a gap of around 12 months since he last made it to the winner's enclosure.

His most productive partnership has been with jockey Daniel Tudhope, who has ridden him to 3 wins from 15 races together — a win rate of 20%, or roughly 1 in every 5, which is meaningfully better than his overall average. That kind of consistency with one rider often reflects a genuine understanding of how a horse wants to be ridden. On ground that is slightly soft underfoot, Cosmos Raj has also shown a preference worth noting: 2 wins from 8 races in those conditions, a 25% win rate, or 1 in every 4.

His recent form, however, paints a tougher picture. His last 6 races have produced finishes of tenth, ninth, fifth, seventh, sixth and sixth — nothing close to a win, and no obvious signs of a horse threatening to return to his best. He raced just one day ago, so he is clearly still in work and being campaigned actively. At eight, with a solid career behind him and a yard that knows how to place a horse, there may yet be another winning opportunity in the right conditions. But the numbers right now suggest a horse running consistently without quite finding that extra gear when it matters.
