The numbers tell a compelling story. From 49 races, she has won 13 and placed in 24 more — a win rate of roughly 1 in every 4 races across her career. But the recent form is something else entirely: four wins from her last six races, with a sixth place the only real blemish. She raced just yesterday and won at Chester last week. This is a horse in the form of her life, and jockey Oliver Stammers — who has ridden her to 6 wins from their 20 races together, winning about 3 in every 10 — put it plainly after her most recent Musselburgh win: "The more you get after her, the more she keeps finding." That is a rare quality.
Musselburgh is where Bellarchi truly looks supernatural. Five wins from just six races there is not a coincidence — it is dominance. Tuer describes the Edinburgh course as her "perfect set-up", and on wet or slightly soft ground she is particularly dangerous, winning 7 of 16 on normal conditions (44%) and 3 from 7 on softer ground (43%). Tuer also believes she is better over seven furlongs than a mile, which matters when placing her in races.
The quality is real, too. She has won at Class 2 level — one of the top tiers in British racing — at both Ascot in May 2024 and Hamilton Park in September 2023. Most of her races come at Class 3, where she wins about 2 in every 13 (15%), which suggests the step up in class is genuinely competitive for her, making those Class 2 victories all the more impressive. Tuer summed her up neatly on a stable tour last autumn: "She wears her heart on her sleeve." At five years old, mid-season, and apparently getting better by the week, Bellarchi is worth keeping a close eye on.
