That big moment did eventually come, at Beverley on 23 September 2025. It was Beerwah's only career win so far, and it came at a track that clearly suits — which is worth noting if the horse returns there. Seven months is a long time between wins, but Beerwah raced just one day ago, so this is very much a horse in the thick of a season, not one coasting on a distant memory.

The recent run of form reads 2-6-4-1-6-5 (most recent first), and there is an interesting shape to it. Strip out the two poor efforts — the sixth-place finishes — and you see a horse that ran second, fourth, and won. That inconsistency is the puzzle worth watching. Jockey Jason Hart has had plenty of opportunity to solve it, partnering Beerwah in 9 of its 17 races and winning once together — an 11% win rate, or 1 in every 9 rides. That is modest, but it is the best relationship the horse has had with any jockey.

Beerwah is trained by John and Sean Quinn, a father-and-son yard based in Norton, North Yorkshire, who have sent out 42 winners already this season. That is a productive operation, and it tells you this horse is in capable hands even if it has not yet rewarded the team as often as everyone would hope. One thing to note: Beerwah has raced seven times at its most common level and has yet to win there, going 0 from 7 at that grade. The sole win came in a different setting. That is not a damning statistic, but it does suggest Beerwah finds life tougher in its usual races than its one breakthrough moment might imply. Whether the Quinn yard can unlock more of those moments remains the interesting question this season.
