Since then, the form has been mixed: in the last six races, it has picked up a fourth place and two seventh-place finishes alongside a pair of efforts in the 10-11 range. This sort of patchy recent record suggests Ashariba may be heading through a tougher spell, yet it raced just a day ago, so it remains an active, campaigned horse rather than one resting on its laurels.

David Menuisier's Pulborough yard has been in good form this season with twenty winners to its name, and Ashariba represents the kind of reliable sort that such yards are built on—a horse that shows up in the bigger races and delivers, even if it cannot quite do so with the consistency you might hope for week in and week out. The journey began at Great Yarmouth in September 2023 with a breakthrough win, followed by steadier progress until that earlier peak at Newmarket in October 2024.
