Similarly, on fast, dry ground her horses have won 2 of just 4 races — that 50% record is too small to draw firm conclusions from, but it's a pattern worth watching as the season develops.

Then there is the partnership with jockey Ciaran Gethings, which looks like one of the more productive arrangements in the weighing room right now. Sixteen wins from 102 rides together — roughly 1 in every 6 — mirrors the yard's overall form almost exactly, which tells you this is a genuine working relationship rather than an occasional convenience. When a trainer and jockey are in sync like that, horses tend to run to a plan, and the results usually follow.

Williams is only four years in. Ninety-three winners, three top-level victories, and a yard that wins at a consistent rate — by any measure, this is a trainer building something real.
