The most interesting thing about Ziggy's Queen is what happens when she goes to Wolverhampton. On that all-weather circuit in the Midlands, she has won 2 of her 4 races — that is one win every two visits, a remarkable return for a horse who manages that same feat just once every ten races everywhere else. It is the kind of stat that makes you wonder what it is about that particular track — the tight turns, the surface, the way the races tend to unfold — that suits her so well. Her last win came there on 20 December 2025, just four months ago, so that affection is very much current.

She also has form at the top end of what she usually competes at. Most of her races have been Class 5 contests, which are solid, competitive midfield races rather than elite events. But on 17 September 2023 at Musselburgh — the beautiful seaside track in Scotland — she stepped up and won a Class 2 race, one of the better races in British racing. That was her first-ever win, and she chose quite the occasion to get it.
