Yorkshire Myth

Most of Yorkshire Myth's racing has come at Class 6, the lowest tier in British racing, where it has gone 0 from 7. That matters because Class 6 is where horses go to find races they can win — it is not a stepping stone so much as the place you are expected to finally break through. Going winless at that level across seven attempts suggests the horse has consistently found one or two too good even in modest company. The recent form reading 12-13-2-8-9-7 tells a mixed story: that second place is a genuine bright spot, and the form either side of it has been uneven, ranging from mid-pack to well-beaten.

Yorkshire Myth ran just one day ago, so this is a horse in active training and clearly being kept busy by R P Burns, who operates out of Collinstown in County Westmeath. Burns has sent out five winners already this season, which shows the yard is capable of getting horses to the track in winning condition. The fact that Yorkshire Myth remains in work and racing regularly suggests the team still believes there is a performance in there worth waiting for. Whether that patience pays off is the question the next few races will begin to answer.
