Well Friend is a 4-year-old making their racecourse debut for
Paul Nolan's Wexford yard, which has already saddled 25 winners this season — a sign the trainer is firing on all cylinders. Sired by Elusive Pimpernel and out of a Muhtathir mare, Well Friend comes from a decent pedigree, though there is no prior form to build expectations on. First-time runners are always unknowns: some take to racing naturally, others need time to settle into the game. What we do know is that Nolan's team has been efficient at the winners' enclosure this year, which suggests this horse has been given time and the right preparation before stepping out onto the track.
