Up The Agenda

The trouble is what happens when the races get tougher. Outside Class 5, the record reads like a horse searching for answers: one win from seven attempts. That tells a story — Up The Agenda is a specialist, not a rising prospect. Its last victory came at Kempton Park on 19 January, seven months ago now, and the recent form has been patchy. In the last six outings, there has been just one win (a third-place finish most recently, two days ago) and several races where it has finished well down the field. A fourth and a sixth in the middle of that sequence suggest some inconsistency creeping in.

What keeps the profile interesting is that this horse can still win. Four victories from thirteen races represents a legitimate win rate — roughly one win every three races — and the Kempton success shows it is capable on decent ground. The question now is whether Morland can find the right Class 5 opportunity to get it back in the winner's circle, or whether the last seven months of struggle indicate the horse is starting to decline. At three years old, there is still time either way. But the pattern is clear: keep this horse in the right race, and it will run well. Ask it to do anything else, and you are likely to be disappointed.
