The recent form paints a picture of a horse hovering around the edges of winning. With a win rate of 7 percent — winning roughly once every fourteen races — Tycoon is the sort of horse that keeps his the yard and backers perpetually optimistic but frustrated. Kevin Philippart de Foy, the Newmarket trainer responsible for his career, runs a winning yard that has sent out forty winners this season, so the infrastructure is there for improvement if it is going to come. The horse was active as recently as yesterday, which means there is still time for the narrative to shift.
