That is a striking number for a horse whose overall record looks unremarkable, and it tells you that when the ground suits, this one is well worth watching. Its preferred trips sit between five and six-and-a-half furlongs — the sharp, sprint-style distances where races are decided in seconds and there is no hiding place. Across 15 races at those distances, it has won 2, which is around 1 in every 7 or 8 attempts.

The two wins tell a story of a horse finding its feet across the spring. The first came at Southwell in March 2026, and the second followed at Lingfield Park at the end of April — two different tracks, both in the same few weeks, suggesting a horse that had clicked into form rather than stumbled onto a fluke. Recent form reads 4-11-7-4-2-1 going back from today, which means after that Lingfield win the results tailed off, though a second-place finish is tucked in there too. Raced just yesterday, Tuscan Point is clearly still in active training and being kept busy by Adam Kirby's yard in Kirtling, just outside Newmarket. The team has sent out 6 winners this season.

What is slightly curious is the partnership with jockey Oisin Orr, who has ridden Tuscan Point 6 times without a win between them. That is not necessarily damning — horses and jockeys take time to click — but it is the kind of detail that nags. The wins have clearly come with other riders. Tuscan Point is a horse that does not demand patience so much as precision: get the ground right, get the distance right, and it has shown it can be competitive. On the wrong day, it disappears into the middle of the field. On the right one, it lands the prize.
