What makes him particularly worth watching is how different he looks on dry ground. On fast, dry surfaces he has won 3 of just 4 races — a 75% record that is remarkable by any measure. That is not a coincidence; that is a horse who has found his conditions and thrives in them. His trainer Hugo Palmer, who has sent out 67 winners this season alone, flagged early on that he really liked this horse as a two-year-old even before a win arrived, and that patience has been repaid. Palmer noted that Triple Double A picked up a fracture when running well in Ireland and had the injury repaired — a detail that makes his subsequent development all the more impressive.

His first career win came at Redcar in April 2025, and his most recent at Newcastle in February 2026, four months ago. In between, jockey Oisin Murphy offered a candid assessment after a run at Windsor: the horse is a son of top miler Mohaather, needs a longer trip to really show his best, and was always going to find a short, sharp, turning track a little awkward while he was still maturing mentally. The "babyish antics" Murphy mentioned are fading, and the horse is, in his words, getting it together.

The one open question is class. Triple Double A has been tried three times at Class 2 level — some of the best races in Britain — and has not won any of them. That is not a disgrace, but it is a gap between what he does at his preferred level and what the very top company asks of him. His recent form reads 8-7-5-7-7-1, suggesting he ran out of his skin last time out after a quiet patch. With dry ground, a longer trip, and a yard firing at full speed, he is precisely the kind of horse worth keeping a close eye on.
