The most recent of those wins came in June 2025, an amateur riders' event that trainer Miss J A Camacho described with obvious warmth — one of the horse's owners lives in York and had dreamed of having a winner there. Lewis Kent rode it well, and it clearly meant something beyond just the prize money. That is the kind of moment racing can produce that no other sport quite replicates.

Camacho noted this season that Titian had looked ready for that extra distance, describing him as adaptable and tough, with a good attitude. Those are not throwaway words from a trainer — they are the kind of qualities that keep a horse competitive deep into its career.

Titian hasn't won in its last 6 races, and the recent form figures of 4-16-6-6-11-11 show a horse that is finding winners difficult to come by right now. But Ryan Sexton, who rides Titian most often, has a win rate of 1 in every 7 together, and the yard itself has been in fine form this season with 46 winners. Camacho has hinted the next target is a valuable apprentice race at Haydock over a mile and two furlongs — a step back in trip from where the horse has been thriving, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. What is clear is that the team believe there is still a chapter or two left to write.
