Compare that to the overall career figures and it tells you something clear: when the sun has been out and the ground is quick, Titainium becomes a different proposition. The sweet spot for distance is also fairly well defined, with two wins from seven races coming over a mile and three to a mile and four furlongs — a middle-distance trip that seems to suit the horse's natural cruising speed.

Most of Titainium's racing has come at Class 5 level, the bread-and-butter tier of British racing, where the horse has won 2 from 12 — roughly 1 in 6 — which is about par for that grade. The first win came at Newcastle in June 2024, and the most recent at Wetherby in June 2025, which means there's been a full year between victories. That gap is worth noting. The last six runs show an 8th, 7th, 5th, 1st, 4th, and 7th — so the Wetherby win sits in the middle of a stretch that has otherwise been frustrating. Getting back to that form will be the challenge.

One curious detail: regular partner Oliver Stammers has ridden Titainium seven times without a win between them, a 0 from 7 record that does make you wonder whether the combination has simply been unlucky or whether a change in the saddle might spark something. Tuer's yard has been in decent nick this season — 29 winners already — so the infrastructure and support are there. With a race just yesterday, Titainium is very much in the thick of things, and if fast ground arrives and the trip is right, there's every reason to think another win isn't far away.
