Tiberio Force

Those two wins tell a tale of patience. The first came at Nottingham back in August 2022, and the second — most recently — at Ripon in August 2025, nearly three years later. A gap that long between victories is a reminder that racing at the lower end of the sport, Class 6, is genuinely competitive. These are not easy races. Tiberio Force has competed at Class 6 level for 36 of its 43 outings and has won just 2 of those — roughly 1 in every 18 — which tells you something about how hard it is to win even at the most accessible tier of the sport.

The recent form makes for uncomfortable reading: finishes of 9th, 8th, 6th, 6th, 6th, and 7th going backwards through the last six races. No win in that run, and no real near-misses either. At distances of a mile and one or two furlongs — where it has raced 12 times and won once — the horse finds its best conditions, but best conditions have not been enough lately.

Lewis Edmunds has taken the ride seven times, winning once together — a rate of about 1 in 7, or 14%, which is actually above the horse's overall average and suggests the partnership works reasonably well when things fall right. Trainer Simon Whitaker runs the yard out of Scarcroft in West Yorkshire and has sent out three winners this season, so the operation is ticking along, even if Tiberio Force has not been among the contributors.

What keeps this horse interesting is simply that it keeps going. Twelve places from 43 races means it has finished in the top three or four more often than it has won, suggesting a horse that competes honestly without quite finding that extra gear. The Ripon win last August is the most recent proof that it can still get there — and with a race just yesterday, clearly nobody is ready to call it a day just yet.
