The Organiser

At Class 5 — the bread-and-butter, mid-tier races that make up the backbone of the British racing calendar — The Organiser has won 2 from 6, which works out at roughly 1 in every 3. That is a genuinely strong return, and it suggests a horse that, when pitched at the right level, becomes a different proposition altogether. The first career win came at The Curragh in Ireland in August 2023, and the most recent came at Brighton in September 2025. Brighton is a famously tricky track — a sharp, undulating circuit that suits horses who like to bowl along — and winning there is no accident.

The current form, however, gives the team something to think about. The last six races read 5-4-2-6-4-14, a sequence that includes some respectable placed efforts but also a heavy defeat, and The Organiser has not won in any of those six outings. The horse raced just yesterday, which means it is being kept busy and clearly holds its condition well enough to compete regularly — but the wins have dried up for ten months now.

Mark Pattinson trains out of Epsom in Surrey, a yard that has sent out five winners already this season, so there is clearly life in the operation. Donagh O'Connor has had the ride five times on The Organiser without finding the winner's enclosure, which is the kind of stat that quietly puts pressure on a partnership. A change of tactics, a change of jockey, or simply the right race on the right day could unlock what those Class 5 numbers suggest is still there. The Organiser is not a horse in decline — it is a horse waiting for things to click again.
