Those wins have come almost exclusively at Lingfield Park. The first arrived in March 2023, and the most recent — and last to date — came there in February 2025, sixteen months ago now. Lingfield clearly suits Taskheer in a way few tracks do, and at the level it typically competes at, it has won 4 of its 18 races there — roughly 1 in every 4 or 5, which is a genuinely solid record at that grade. Class 6 is the entry-level tier of British racing, but winning at any level takes real ability, and Taskheer has shown it can do that when conditions align.

The partnership with jockey Joshua Bryan stands out. In 8 races together they have won twice — that is a win rate of 25%, or 1 in every 4 rides. For context, Taskheer's overall career win rate is just 10%, about 1 in every 10 races. So something clearly clicks when Bryan is in the saddle, and it is no coincidence that the most recent win came in that combination.

Trainer Daniel Steele, based in Henfield in West Sussex, has sent out 4 winners already this season, so the yard is in form. Recent runs from Taskheer have been encouraging in their own way — consecutive second-place finishes followed by a third and a fourth suggest the horse is knocking on the door without quite pushing it open. The dash in the form line indicates a race where no official finishing position was recorded, likely a void or abandoned event.

Six races without a win, the last success now well over a year ago — patience is clearly required with Taskheer at this stage of its career. But this is a horse that ran just one day ago and keeps lining up, keeps placing, and has a jockey who seems to unlock something in it. The next trip to Lingfield with Bryan aboard will be worth watching.
