The recent form is what really catches the eye. Three wins from the last six races, including a victory at Chester just this week, suggests a horse peaking at exactly the right time. That kind of purple patch — 1-1-2-6-1-2 reading from most recent back — is the sort of sequence that makes trainers and riders very happy indeed. One poor run sandwiched between wins on either side is nothing to worry about; the overall picture is of a horse in terrific nick.

Tickle's yard at Stoodleigh has sent out 20 winners this season, so this is clearly a stable in form, not just a single horse getting lucky. Taylor Fisher rides Taritino most often — 17 times in total — and while their shared win rate of 2 from 17 (roughly 1 in 8) is modest compared to the horse's overall record, it represents an established partnership with plenty of races logged together.

Where Taritino really separates itself from the crowd is on fast, dry ground and over longer distances. On dry ground it has won 4 from 12 races — that is 1 in every 3 — and over a mile and three-quarters to two miles it has won 5 from 16, again about 1 in 3. Those numbers matter because they tell you this horse has genuine preferences, and when conditions align, it becomes noticeably harder to beat. Salisbury is another happy hunting ground: 2 wins from just 4 visits, a record that hints at something more than coincidence.

At Class 5 level — solid, competitive racing without quite being the elite tier — Taritino has won 6 from 29 races, or roughly 1 in 5. That is a reliable performer doing what it does best, consistently. A career that began with a first win at Redcar in July 2022 has grown into something steady, productive, and right now, genuinely exciting to follow.
