Over races of two miles or more, the horse has won once from three attempts — a 33 per cent win rate that towers above its overall average. This is where Sudbury Hill genuinely belongs. At Class 4 level, the highest standard the horse regularly contests, it has won one of four races, which is respectable if not remarkable. The horse's breakthrough came at Newcastle on 26 July 2025, and its most recent victory came at Salisbury eight weeks ago, suggesting a horse that can win at different tracks and maintain consistency across a stretch of time.

With just one day since its last race, Sudbury Hill is clearly being campaigned hard by Derham and the yard are backing the horse's current form. For a three-year-old still learning its trade, the pattern is encouraging: it stays sound, it wins regularly at longer distances, and it has figured out how to win races. Whether it can climb higher than Class 4 remains to be seen, but the recent form and distance preference give real reason to watch this one.
