Win rate and top-3 rate will show once this horse has raced.
The trainer Joe Tizzard runs a yard at Milborne Port in Dorset that has already sent out 52 winners this season, so Straw Merchant joins a stable clearly firing on all cylinders. Tizzard's record suggests a trainer who gets horses ready to run well, which bodes well for debut day. With no previous form to judge, everything comes down to what happens when the gates open—but the pedigree and the yard behind the horse both offer genuine grounds for optimism.
