The horse is coming off a tough race in France and has clearly been given a proper break to refresh. Beckett is openly optimistic about the season ahead, pointing to upcoming targets at Royal Ascot and noting that Starlust thrives when races are run at a furious pace — a style that plays to his strengths as a sprinter.

Ground conditions have also been revealing. On slightly soft or damp ground, Starlust wins roughly two out of every five races (40% win rate across five attempts), compared to his overall 21% win rate. This is a significant edge and suggests that wet or muddy conditions genuinely suit him. With Beckett's yard firing on all cylinders this season and having sent out 107 winners already, Starlust looks primed for a strong spring campaign, particularly if the ground rides on the softer side.
