Stardom Glory

Chester clearly suits him. That debut win came there eight weeks ago, and Chester's left-handed track with its unique challenges tends to suit individual horses differently. Whether Stardom Glory will return to that course or try something new remains to be seen, but his recent dip in form suggests his trainer H Palmer may be reassessing where the colt races next. Palmer's yard at Malpas has been strong this season, sending out 67 winners, so there's clearly good horsemanship there.

At this early stage of a two-year-old's career, form is naturally variable. A win and a place from the last four races isn't spectacular, but it's not discouraging either — this horse has shown it can win, and three placings prove it can run well consistently. The real question now is whether that debut win at Chester was the start of something, or a promising flash that needs refueling.
