The most striking number in St Faz's profile is what he does at Southwell. Three wins from just four races at that track is extraordinary — that's winning 75% of the time at a single course, at a level where winning one in three would make you a specialist. Finding a horse that clicks with a particular track as decisively as St Faz clicks with Southwell is the kind of edge that keeps trainers coming back. His performances at distances between a mile and six furlongs and two miles are similarly eye-catching: six wins from 13 races at those trips, nearly half of all attempts, suggesting a horse that genuinely finds his best when the race asks a proper question of his stamina.
Ground conditions matter with St Faz, and the numbers make it plain. On normal ground he has won four from six races — a staggering 67%, almost two-thirds of all attempts. On slightly softer ground he still manages two wins from six. Trainer Adrian Keatley, who operates out of Ryedale in North Yorkshire and has sent out 43 winners already this season, noted after one run that slightly better ground had been a real help to the horse — so when conditions are right, St Faz is formidable.
His most recent win came at Musselburgh in April 2026, and he raced again just yesterday, so he is clearly in an active spell. His current run of form shows a win five runs back and a second-place finish since, though the last two outings have been quieter. Keatley has previously spoken about St Faz as a horse he expected more from at three, hinting there was talent there that took time to fully emerge. Given that his career only began to take shape from mid-2023 onwards, in many ways this is a horse still in the middle of his story rather than at the end of it. Jockey Phillip Enright, his most regular partner, has won one from nine together — the partnership has plenty of room to grow.
