Win rate and top-3 rate will show once this horse has raced.
Sam Thomas, who trains from Lisvane in South Glamorgan, has sent out 23 winners already this season—a solid win rate that shows a yard firing on all cylinders. Thomas's horses tend to arrive ready to run, and there is usually method in the timing of when a trainer decides to run a previously unraced four-year-old. Whether Smooth Landing arrives fully wound up or simply as an interesting prospect in need of racecourse experience remains to be seen, but either way, this debut will be the first real test of what the horse can do under pressure when the gates spring open.
